Special Olympics Night

     On March 12, 2011, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Special Olympics night at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA. I volunteered with Miss Teen MA International 2011 Jazmin Hampton, Mrs. MA International Jane Marshall and Miss Teen MA World Tamara Sacharcyzk.       
      I felt priviledged to meet the athletes and see the joy, excitement and personal fulfillment that they have experienced with their sport training and competition. I was greatly impressed by their enthusiasm, spirit and camaraderie. They had such positive attitudes and were very passionate about what they do.

      In the evening, there was a dance upstairs for all the athletes and volunteers. We danced to all genres of music, including country, rock and hip hop. It was great to see everyone socialize and enjoy one another's company.                                                                                                                                                
     I was so honored to participate in a program that encourages physical fitness and healthy living. I want to thank the staff of the Special Olympics night and also Miss Teen MA International Jazmin Hampton, Mrs. MA International Jane Marshall and Miss Teen MA World Tamara Sacharcyzk for a memorable night. The athletes showed me that anything is possible and that dreams can come true.
